朱迪、罗素：邯郸之旅的温馨回忆

编者按：2025新春“邯郸道”开街，吸引了海内外热爱中国文化的大量游客。李景濂故居是“邯郸道”最闪光的文化打卡地之一，上个月，新华社原常驻联合国记者李健雄(李景濂曾孙）和夫人张红陪同表姐夫妇，美籍华人朱迪•布坎斯(Judy Bucans，李景濂曾外孙女）、罗素•布坎斯（Russell Bucans，李景濂曾外孙女婿）一行4人回故里寻根祭祖。
邯郸市翻译协会侨胞之家的负责人，陪同李景濂后裔到广府武家大院和李景濂故居纪念馆举行祭祖仪式，向外祖母和外曾祖父敬献花篮，并举行座谈会，追忆前辈事，共话桑梓情，感悟先贤心。侨胞之家向朱迪夫妇赠送了中英双语版《邯郸成语典故读本》《中华善字经》和民间手工艺品“旗袍包”。朱迪夫妇回国后用英文写了一封热情洋溢的感谢信，今转发以飨邯郸网友。

Dear the Home for Overseas Chinese, Handan Translators Association,
Dear Mr. Li Chengshu and Ms. Li Wenqin,
From the moment our flight took off from the Beijing airport, I have been pondering on how to put together a thank-you note to you both. In the note, I would fully share with you, my soft, warm, respectful feelings that you both embraced us with during our Handan visit.
Due to that overwhelming abundance of my heartfelt gratitude to both of you, I then decided to begin with a list of all those words and phrases from my heart, such as sincere, abundance, healing, nurturing, warmth, thoughtfulness, soft and tender, etc. I then realized I would never finish this list of all those wonderful feelings that you have gifted us with. In these, every single little gesture you have presented us was full of thoughtfulness, warmth and love. In my heart, I am forever in debt to you.
I have always been very proud of my Chinese origin. Because I have what they/Americans have; yet, they do not have what I have of being Chinese. On this trip, you have further broadened my stance and strengthened my standing as being Chinese. I came home to China to find my root. And you have helped to find and celebrate "MY" village!
When you get a chance to visit the U.S., please do remember that Russ and I will be waiting for you in New Hampshire.
Here in spring - the most beautiful flowers are blooming. Velvety green grass is under feet, with birds chirping on trees and squirrels zooming around, collecting acorns. In summer - People water ski, fish, swim, paddle board, and kayak in the lake in the backyard. Or
we simply BBQ and snooze on the deck off our backyard lake. In autumn - People from all over the world rush to the New England region for fall foliage. Yet, we live in it with such God granted privilege. In winter - Yay...! It is snowing time! Christmas, fire places, hot soups, the most beautiful winter wonderland in the world.
Please come to join us! We will be waiting... Every time when I touch and hold the souvenirs you have sent me off with, I feel your warmth, soft tenderness, thoughtfulness, pride and love.

亲爱的李成书先生和李文芹女士：
自从航班在北京机场启程那一刻起，我就一直在思索如何给你们写这封感谢信。在此信中，我将分享我们在邯郸访问期间感受到的体贴、温暖和以礼相待。
我本想用真诚、慷慨、慰藉、滋养、温暖、体贴、温柔、细腻等词语，来描绘心中对你们充满的感激之情，但我却蓦然发觉，言语何其苍白。你们给予我们的惊喜感受，早已超越了词汇的边界。你们举手投足间流淌的体贴、温暖和爱心，我将感激不尽。
我一直为我的中国血统而感到非常自豪，因为我拥有美国人所拥有的，然而他们却没有我作为中国人所拥有的一切。此次归乡寻根之旅，你们进一步拓展了我的眼界，让我对中华血脉之根有了更深刻的理解。我回到祖国，寻找我的中国根，是你们帮助我找到并颂扬“属于我的”家乡。
若将来你们有机会踏足美国，请一定记得，罗素与我将在新罕布什尔州的家中等候你们到来。
在这里，春天，最美的花儿开得正艳，脚下的草地柔软如毯，鸟儿在树上欢歌，松鼠跳来跳去采集橡果。夏天，大家在湖里滑水、钓鱼、游泳，或划桨板冲浪，划皮划艇。我们还在后院湖边的栈道上烧烤，享受日光浴。秋天，世界各地的游客涌入新英格兰地区观赏红叶，而我们有幸住在此地，享受造物主赋予的特权。冬天，吔……下雪时节！圣诞节、壁炉、热汤……俨然进入世界最美的仙境。
请来我家做客！我们期待着与你们分享如此美好的时光！每当我轻抚和手捧你们临别时赠予的纪念品，我总会感受到你们的温暖、细腻、体贴入微、自豪和爱心。
